Petula spoke to 150+ middle school girls for their Kindness Retreat at South Bronx Early College Academy (SBECA) on November 20th, 2019. She inspired the girls with her powerful #beautyFULL story and explained, “ How we cannot be kind to others if we’re not kind to ourselves?”

After telling her story and explaining the importance of kindness Petula answered many questions from the girls. Questions ranging from her upbringing in Nevis to how they too can be successful. After answering as many questions as she can she elegantly summarized all the questions with “Stop waiting for others to notice your beauty, you need to accept & believe in your self, then you can truly be kind to others.” The retreat was filled with laughs, motivation, and most of all kindness.
